Hannah Stallings is a drum set player, percussionist, and educator based out of Nashville, TN. She works as a freelance drum set player the live and studio settings, and instructs privately.
As a 12-year-old, Hannah had no idea what instrument to play in the middle school band. She had been taking piano lessons since the ripe age of 4, but piano was not an option in concert band. One day, her dad asked her, “What’s your favorite song?” She proceeded to play Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez on the boombox, and when asked why, she replied, “I like the beat”. It was then obvious to Hannah’s dad; she should try percussion.
Since then, Hannah has completed a Diploma in Music Performance from Grant MacEwan University in her hometown Edmonton, Canada in 2010, and a Bachelors in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2014. She has performed, toured, and recorded internationally with a number of artists, notably CCM songwriter Ginny Owens, R&B/pop artists Marc Evan Diaz and Ashe, blues/Americana band Swingin Hammers, and Nashville’s premiere all-female country group Fading June. She also had appearances on ABC's Nashville, Season 4.
Hannah also loves to teach, and she cherishes seeing her students develop musically and experience the joy of learning and growing as a musician. Hannah has had experience in the public school system as both a substitute teacher K-12 and a Special Education Teachers Assistant K-5, instructed drum set and directed performance groups at the School of Rock in Nashville, TN, and has taught drum set privately since 2009. She has recently begun managing David Spencer Music Group in-home music lessons studio, based in Brentwood, TN.
